How To Be More Peaceful and Patient

Let it go, love.

That conversation that’s still pulling U-turns in your brain.

That spike of disgust, envy, discontent that you felt… eons ago.

That choice you made, despite knowing you were betraying yourself in the process.

It’s done now. Done, and absolutely dusted. Poof! Goneskies.

And it’s time you came to really, really understand the power of letting all that tension go. Letting it rise up and out of your body, and letting it settle back into the Earth where it can be recycled into something magical, and productive.

Last week, I shared with you some whispers from my journal. There was a line in and amongst that mess of cursive guidance that jumped out at me like neon.

You are feeling too intensely what is only meant to be fleeting.

Damn.

How’s that for a #truthbomb?!

So, today’s video is a little extention on that. Because, y’know, as far as I’m concerned, this message never gets old.

I’d love to hear from you now.

What unwelcome emotion has set anchor in your being? It’s time to unhook that bad boy and set sail, wouldn’t you say? Liberate it in the comments below, and don’t forget to share this post with your mates.

All BLISS

Tara.

Oh my god Tara I needed this so much today.

“Feel it and then let it flit on by….”

    Thank you thank you.

    I’m gonna try this immediately!

What a beautiful, gentle, reminder that some things are only meant to be briefly felt. It’s easy to get caught up in the ‘feeling’ of the emotions and ‘sitting’ in them, when really sometimes they don’t need that much attention.
    Such beautiful words Tara,
    Thank you! X

Shedding light on the shadow for me. Def comes and goes try not to hold on to it for I know so well how it strangles my essence.
    Bless your bliss tara x

Loving your videos lately, Tara! This exact thing got me over the weekend and I’m so glad to have come out the other side with some insight and clarity on how to be better and let it go instead of hanging on and letting it bubble away and explode. Phew!

Great vid Tara – a timely reminder as usual! Side note, loved the journal post the other day – so raw, so emotional and so potent. Thanks for sharing and letting us into your creative, spiritual mind! xx

I needed this TODAY. Holding back, pushing others away, hanging onto assumptions and anger and guilt. I feel everything so hard sometimes it’s as if my skin might literally fall off. These are the hardest thoughts to push away, the ones that linger in my gut.
Thank you for being brave enough to post from your journal, it was beautiful, and THIS was an amazing lesson for me.

Just wondering if you have read the book ‘The presence process’ by Michael Brown? If not you should check it out, it ties in perfectly with your message. I can’t recommend it highly enough, its my bible at the moment x

    WOW!!!! What a gorgeous reminder!

It’s so true sometimes we all become unconscious and as a result we choose to hold on to emotions, negativity and energy that doesn’t serve us!

I love that “We are feeling too intensely that which is meant to be fleeting!” sooo true

thanks for this beautiful post and for being you!
    YOU SHINE X

Hi Tara – another beautiful post. There is so much power in the ability to let things go…like you say, we need to feel it (briefly!) then let it go or wash over us even.

A couple of quotes from ‘Buddhism for Mothers’ really resonated with me, and so fitting for this post I thought I would share (well I think it is from that book..in my rush to journal it down a long time ago, can’t find the source written down…hey, but they’re great quotes anyway!) “Watch your thoughts and notice when they are snowballing or distorting” and “You have the power to choose your emotional responses – stressed or irritated, or spacious and accepting”. Hmmm…I think like the idea of spacious and accepting much more than stressing out!!xx

I do a practice everyday called “shaking the bones” and it really helps me to shake out emotions that are meant to be fleeting. Thanks Tara, beautiful reminder. http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/VDR00157/Shaking-the-Bones-With-Dr-Chiasson.html

    That’s the one, Tara!

Like my dad always says: “Pick your fights”
And, I’ll add yours: – “Feel, then liberate”

    LOVE IT!
